Prof. Behrooz Parhami an IEEE CS Distinguished Visitor

The Computer Society recognizes ECE's Parhami as an authority in his field to "present engaging, state-of-the-art technical talks" to the Society’s professional and student members

The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of California, Santa Barbara, is happy and proud to a support the expansion of Dr. Behrooz Parhami’s IEEE activities to include appointment as an IEEE Computer Society Distinguished Visitor. The Distinguished-Visitor title is a lifetime honor, which can be used even after the three-year appointment term.

Parhami is currently an Associate Editor for two IEEE Transactions (Computers, Sustainable Computing) and the Education Chair for IEEE California Central Coast Section, where he has organized 24 technical talks during 2019-2020.

His research interests include computer arithmetic, parallel processing, dependable computing, computer architecture.
